Don't drag NBM of Africa into a case with Ese Kakor, his removal reported to CAC, January 15, 2024. Barr. Nkemnacho tells Edo state government

Open Letter to the CAC, the Inspector General of Police, the EFCC and members of NBM of Africa Worldwide. I am forced to come out publicly to address some of the recent problems plaguing our beloved organisation, NBM of Africa which many of us have spent our lives building. The current dispute between Mr Ese Kakor and Edo State government, a former leader of the organisation has further dented the image of the NBM of Africa. Prior to this dispute NBM of Africa has struggled to redeem its battered image mainly from the handwork of Ese Kakor and his misguided and irresponsible associates. The problem NBM of Africa faces today is exacerbated by bad governance plaguing our beloved nation, Nigeria. NBM of Africa has since February 2024 brought to the attention of the Federal Government via the CAC and security services, the EFCC and the Inspector General of Police our problems with Ese Kakor and his misguided associates. I am particularly happy that it has taken Edo State government the boldness to challenge Ese Kakor. However in doing so it has rubbed on our beloved Organisation because of the indifference exhibited by bad federal government agencies in Nigeria. NBM of Africa is a duly registered organisation with the CAC which is responsible for registering clubs and charities in Nigeria. One expects the CAC to also monitor the activities of the clubs and charities. The trustees of NBM of Africa and legal owners of the organisation filed a report with the CAC on 15th January 2024 notifying the CAC of the removal of Ese Kakor as the National Leader of NBM of Africa for criminal activities, misappropriation, and threat to life. The report was clear on the removal of Ese Kakor from office. To date the CAC has not acted on the report by writing to Ese Kakor to stop parading himself as the President or National leader of the organisation. CAC silence has emboldened Ese Kakor and his worldwide misguided associates to continue to misrepresent himself as the President of NBM of Africa. Equally, the Inspector General of Police is complicit in denying NBM of Africa justice. Following a report by some members of our great movement to the IGP against Ese Kakor for ‘threat to life, terrorism and financial misappropriation’ nothing concrete was done by the office of the IGP except writing invitation letters to Ese Kakor. On 26 March 2024, our lawyers Henry Akunebu SAN wrote on the Trystees behalf to the IGP confirming Ese Kakor’s removal by the Board of Trustees of NBM of Africa. On 10th September 2024, one CP Emmanuel Aina (pcs), commissioner of police (SEB) of the Special Inquiry Bureau, Criminal Investigation Dept (FCID) Abuja invited Ese Kakor in a letter reference 3000/X/FHQ/ABJ/SEB/T.12/VOL to report for interview at Abuja. Nothing came out of this invitation. I would like the IGP to investigate why report by the NBM of Africa against Ese Kakor did not see the light of day. What was the outcome of the report for which Ese Kakor was invited to report to Abuja. Also the EFCC received a report about Ese Kakor’s financial misappropriation and like the CAC and IGP, it failed to investigate properly. The EFCC failed woefully as an agency involved with fighting financial crimes. Ese Kakor has continued to receive funds he should not have on behalf of NBM of Africa to date from gullible and misguided members and branches of the organisation while the authorities slumber. While I congratulate Edo State Government for standing up to fight corruption and cultism, NBM of Africa should not be mentioned in its dispute with Ese Kakor. The Trustees of the organisation will reach out to Edo state government for compensation over the destruction of its headquarters in time. It is on public record at the CAC that Ese Kakor was removed as President of NBM of Africa by the trustees of the organisation on 12 February 2024. It is also on record that security agencies were notified of his criminal activities but failed to act responsibly. The organisation is currently in court in Benin City struggling to see if Edo State judiciary can support NBM of Africa in wrestling it from the grip hold of Ese Kakor and his misguided associates. Since February 2024 Ese Kakor has grabbed and run away with the organisation aided by a corrupt Nigerian system. As a member of the NBM of Africa and a proud one and former national leader of the organisation, I urge both parties to settle their dispute without involving our respectable organisation. Ese Kakor has only existed and allowed to continue his criminal behaviour simply because the Nigeria system failed the organisation. Newspaper houses and TV channels have also contributed in promoting Ese Kakor as president of the NBM of Africa. Arise TV did not carry out good investigative journalism to learn that Ese Kakor was not the President of our organisation when it aired him in 2025. When this was brought to the knowledge of Arise TV, particularly Rufai, Arise TV failed to correct their error or apologise for airing the wrong person as the organisation’s president. It is time for Arise TV to make right its error. Our revered father the Oba of Benin was also fooled into building a relationship with Ese Kakor after he was removed from office. One can excuse our royal father, but his officials cannot be exonerated from Ese Kakor’s criminal behaviour. Some palace chiefs knowingly or unknowingly misled the Palace into accepting Ese Kakor parading himself as the leader of the organisation. Celebrities were also misled into relating with Ese Kakor as our leader. The likes of Burna Boy and Davido whom I was instrumental in resolving their long public dispute also found themselves hoodwinked by awards that mean nothing. Genuine NBM members do not need awards. It is a life duty we are called to do, fighting against inequality, injustice and the freedom of Africans mentally and spiritually. Celebrities are advised to dissociate themselves from Ese Kakor and approach the legitimate trustees of NBM of Africa for advice. Stop feeding Ese Kakor’s criminal lifestyle because he stopped being the leader of NBM of Africa in January 2024. It is unfortunate the situation NBM of Africa finds itself today. But it is my hope that justice can finally be fought for an organisation whose primary role was set up to free the minds of the black race from mental slavery and injustice. NBM is also about promoting African culture and social justice. I want to thank the Edo State government for its seriousness in fighting the cancer that we as an organisation have been fighting. I implore the government to reach out to the Board of Trustees of the Organisation to begin discussion on explaining to them why our national secretariat was demolished without notice. Ese Kakor has no legal stand to bring a case without the authorisation of the Board of Trustees of NBM of Africa. NBM of Africa has intellectuals worldwide and some are serving and retired government and political office holders that are contributing to the development of Nigeria and the world. Unfortunately like Nigeria, the lunatics have taken over the asylum. I am prayerful that the intervention of Edo State government in Suit No B/540S/2024 can help us regain our organisation from the likes of Ese Kakor and his associates. Long live NBM Long live Edo State Long live Nigeria Signed: Mr (Bar) Edward Onoriode Chikwe Nkemnacho Former National Head (AKA Lord Nelson Mandela ll,FJ82,BOF)
