Professor Isaqh Akintola and his MURIC group's obsession against Amotekun is a reminder that among the Yorubas are some unashamed collaborators intent on seeing the Yoruba land overun by Fulani just to prove to themselves that they are good Muslims.

They belong to those fools who have been brainwashed to see the brand of Islam as more important than their ethnic origins. So foolish are these people that they fail to realise that the conservative Wahabism Northern hegemonist draw a fixed line between the Southern Muslims and their Northern counterparts. Akintola with all his protestations against the South and the Amotekun will not make him qualify to do a call to prayer in the conservative North, not to even talk of ever wishing to lead a prayer. If that does not tell him that race and ethnicity matter in the brand of Muslim espoused by the North, I wonder what will. Another poser for Akintola is that, why is it the sole right of the Sultan to head the Nigeria Muslim body and the same can not be accorded to any other person from other parts of Nigeria? The obvious answer is that among the Muslims in Nigeria, some are more Muslims than the others. This dichotomy is only a function of a sense of superiority of the one group against the other.

Professor Akintola has been on the voyage of rubble rousing to subject Yorubas to vassal under his Fulani masters for a long time. But his gale of rubble rousing has become more strident with the advent of Amotekun to protect the Yoruba land and its people. Amotekun which signify strenght and agility has become such a nightmare to Akintola and his group to the extent that it has taken a frightening spiritual connotation in their morbid minds.

Now Akintola is playing the spoiler as he has done serially against Amotekun corps without any modicum of success.  His incestuous relationship with the Fulani hegemonists is such that he can not let go of his evil advocacy against Amotekun as long as his masters are still uncomfortable. Now that he is asking the Yorubas to change the name to Oduduwa corps, so as to humanise it. We need to ask him if the names given to our national football teams has in any way stripped them of their humanities and makes them to behave like animals?

There is no denying the fact that animals and their unique characteristics are common features in the Bible to explain certain principles and liturgies. The usage of animal characteristics in the Bible are a form of figure of speech just as it applies to all languages. That a professor will become so obsess with figure of speech only serve to explain his jaundice advocacy or a manifestation of an infested mind.

Either way, Akintola and MURIC deserves only our opprobrium and should be quarantined to infamy which their gale of unbridled rabble rousing rightly belong.
