Minister of Education, VC and the Governing Council empty UNIABUJA treasury, shared the money. UNIABUJA Staff
UNIABUJA ACTING VC DEFIES THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, RISKS SHOWDOWN WITH HOUSE COMMITTEE ON UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION
In a move aimed at defying the directives of the House of Representatives Committee on University Education to put on hold the process of appointing new substantive Vice-Chancellor and Registrar pending conclusion of an investigation hearing into the recent leadership crisis at the University, the acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Patricia Manko Lar has convened a meeting of the University Senate to elect members of the Governing Council that will conduct the selection process. In a notice issued by Tanimu Mustapha, Deputy Registrar,
Academic, dated 25th June, 2025, the Senate meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 26 June, 2025, which is the same day Professor Lar is scheduled to appear before the House Committee conducting the investigation hearing. She is expected to appear before the Committee along with the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University’s Governing Council.
With this development, sources at the University are wondering whether the acting Vice-Chancellor will attend the hearing at the National Assembly or not, and if she does, what will be her explanation for the apparent disregard of the Committee’s directives.
It would be recalled that Sahara Reporters on 24th June 2025 carried the report of action taken by the House Committee on University Education based on a petition by 98 members of staff of the University raising several allegations against the Pro-Chancellor of the University. Arising from the petition, the Committee, via a letter signed by its Chairman, Hon. Abubakar Hassan Fulata, ordered the halting of every process for the selection of a new Vice-Chancellor and Registrar

NBM CRISIS: Ese Kakor a criminal, forged signature of Okogua who died 28/8/2022 to constitute illegal BOT on November 6, 2024. - Akeem Zibiri, Chairman NCTC
PRESS STATEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE NCTC CHAIRMAN
Date: 17th June 2025
RE: THE COURT CASE AGAINST THE EDO STATE GOVERNMENT – CALL FOR CALM AND CLARITY ON THE POSITION OF THE AUTHENTIC BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Distinguished members of the Neo Black Movement,
Our attention has been drawn to certain voice notes and commentaries in circulation, spreading misinformation regarding the ongoing court case between the NBM and the Edo State Government.
As the Chairman of the NCTC, it is my duty to address the General Congress clearly, responsibly, and with a deep sense of respect for our movement and its future.
1. NBM's Position Must Be Represented by Lawful Trustees
The authentic Board of Trustees (BOT) of NBM is currently pursuing a legitimate case at the Federal High Court, Abuja, challenging their illegal removal through alleged forgery and manipulation. Despite this, another group—constituted by Mr. Ese Stanley Kakor, who himself is under legal restraint from parading as National Head—is leading a suit in the name of NBM without the mandate of the authentic BOT or the wider Congress.
This is irregular, misleading, and against the spirit of transparency and accountability we stand for.
2. Why the Authentic BOT Must Join the Edo State Suit
It is essential that the authentic BOT has now applied to join the current court case as an interested party. This is to protect the integrity of the movement and ensure that no one uses the suit to legitimize an illegality or extend any tenure under false pretenses.
If the authentic BOT remains silent, it may be seen in law as consenting to the actions of the fake trustees. That would undermine both the Abuja suit and the interests of NBM members worldwide.
3. No Room for Blackmail, Tenure Elongation, or Misinformation
Let it be clearly stated:
The authentic BOT is not fighting for personal gain, but for justice and due process.
The authentic BOT has no interest in prolonging any crisis or tenure.
The application to join the suit is meant to ensure that only legally recognized trustees act in the name of NBM.
The court has fixed 23rd June 2025 to hear this joinder application. We urge all members to be watchful and remain law-abiding.
4. A Call for Calm and Unity
This is a defining moment in our journey. We urge all members of the movement—young and old—to remain calm, peaceful, and united. Do not allow falsehoods and desperation to sway you.
Justice is not a race; it is a process. Let us trust the process and allow the law to take its course.
Conclusion
Let no man or group take advantage of this moment to push a personal agenda. The authentic BOT is working with competent legal minds, and will carry everyone along once the court recognizes them.
As your NCTC Chairman, I assure you that the transitional process will not be derailed. Let us defend the soul of the movement, not individuals.
We move forward with unity, truth, and justice.
Signed,
Akeem Zibiri

Benue genocide: Tinubu's calling the killings a "reprisal attacks" by warring groups is appalling, a cruel distortion of truth - Okechukwu Nwanguma
Mr. President, This Is Not Leadership — It Is Abdication. By Okechukwu Nwanguma
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I write to you with a heavy heart — compelled by conscience, outraged by injustice, and deeply disturbed by the tone-deaf statement released on your behalf by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, your Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
Apart from your unconstitutional declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State, this is the most insensitive and misguided public communication to have come from your presidency.
How did you, Mr. President, respond so late to what amounts to genocide in Benue State?
The world has seen the images — charred bodies of babies, children, women, entire families hacked and burnt alive in their homes. The Pope responded before you did. How can the Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria be so distant from such horror?
Your statement didn’t reassure. It exposed paralysis.
You told the world you were “directing security chiefs to implement your earlier directive.” So your first order wasn’t implemented? You are neither disciplining anyone nor changing strategy. You’re simply reissuing an ineffective order — after hundreds of innocent lives have been lost. Who really holds power in your government — you, or the security chiefs who ignore your commands?
This isn't just failure; it’s surrender.
What exactly is the logic of your government’s approach?
Less than two weeks ago, your Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, said he was relocating to Benue to “stem the tide of violence.” What has he done? Where is the result? And if no one in the chain of command can enforce peace, what is the function of government?
Your language in the statement is appalling.
You describe what happened in Yelwata as “reprisal attacks” — as if the men, women, and children burned alive had launched some attack to provoke this massacre. What is your evidence? Where did the people of Yelwata go to kill others before being murdered in their hundreds?
Calling these “warring parties” is a cruel distortion of truth. Even your own party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue, described the incident as “an unprovoked and barbaric massacre... a calculated ethnic cleansing campaign.” So which version of the truth should we believe — yours or your party’s?
Let’s be clear: these are not reprisal attacks. This is genocide.
And your administration’s casual framing of it is shameful. This is not the time for moral equivalence. It is time for decisive, lawful, and visible leadership.
What You Must Do Now
* Declare a constitutional state of emergency in Benue State.
Use the powers granted to you under Section 305 of the 1999 Constitution. You do not need to suspend the Governor or the House of Assembly — that would be unconstitutional. But clearly, the Governor is overwhelmed, and you are empowered to act, especially as he has failed to request action in a timely manner.
* Launch a comprehensive security operation in the state.
This should involve all arms of the military and police, coordinated directly from the National Security Adviser’s office and the Defence Headquarters. All existing operations, including Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), should be integrated into this mission. Those already arrested — including bandits and armed herders — should face swift justice. No mercy for murderers.
* Visit Yelwata immediately.
Stand with the survivors. Address them. Mourn with them. Assure them that justice will be served. Announce a relief and reconstruction package. Let the world see you acting like the President of a country that values the lives of all its citizens.
* End the charade of “dialogue” with killers.
Stop pressuring Governor Hyacinth Alia to engage in reconciliation with terrorists. There is no dialogue with genocidal actors — only justice. Mass murderers should be prosecuted, not placated. Dialogue without justice is what got us here in the first place.
Mr. President, Nigerians are watching. The world is watching. And history is watching.
This is your test. This is your Rubicon.
Do not cross to the wrong side of history.
June 12 stands for justice, social equality and eradication of poverty, while the poor are hungry and poorer under Tinubu's watch - Omoluabi Progressives
June 12 : Our Message to the Poor and Struggling Nigerians
On this solemn occasion of June 12 – Democracy Day, we, the *OMOLUABI PROGRESSIVES,* honor the sacrifices made by heroes past, especially the poor and voiceless who stood firm for justice, democracy, and dignity in the face of tyranny.
June 12 is more than a date—it is a reminder of Nigerian masses resilience and their unbreakable spirit which serves as the bedrock of this nascent democracy which ordinarily we should be enjoying today but unfortunately as it is, it is being raped by the very people who are supposed to know better.
Today is a day that symbolizes the people’s stolen mandate through Moshood Olawale Kasimawo Abiola, MKO who believed that poverty eradication, justice, and equal opportunity must form the backbone of our democracy to ensure a free, fair, just for all and egalitarian society for the working people !.
But what are we witnessing today, untold hardships in the midst of abundance and phantom wants amidst plenty resources. To you the market women, the jobless graduates, the artisans, the farmers, the okada riders, and the millions enduring hardship created by the ruling class and untold hardships heaped on you by PHCN and its arbitrary Band 419 charges, Omoluabi Progressives says to you: you are not invisible, You are the soul of this nation and a better tomorrow is knocking.
We acknowledged the fact that, the gap between the half and the half nots continues to expand, the scope of the middle class is been eradicated, the poor continues to soar while the rich continue to benefit from the broken systems and false promises, we, the Omoluabi Progressives, are committed to a new kind of politics—politics with character, courage, and compassion. Politics that returns power to the people and dignity to every household.
We understand the pain of empty kitchens, rising fuel prices, PHCN 418 bands and children out of school. We will not celebrate democracy without demanding it delivers food, jobs, security, and fairness while urging the ruling elites to do away with the false “Renewed Hope” mantra.
The Omoluabi Progressives offer the good people of Osun and Nigerian as a whole a system where ;
• *Leadership serves, and not steals*
• *A country where an average Nigerian will not sleeps hungry*
• *A democracy that works for not just for the politicians and the powerful but the kind of democracy that works for all, the poor, the haves, and the have nots*
• *A democracy where institutions rather than personnel are built on sound framework.*
“He who knows history knows that success may delay, but it will never be denied. “ Freedom Cometh By Struggle.
Stay awake, stay involved, and stand for truth. For democracy is not complete until it uplifts the poor. This is our promise.
A luta continua. Victoria ascerta.

Gbadebo symbolized hope to end political godfatherism, oppression and systemic inequality in Lagos - Adewole Ireti
*Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour stands today as a reflection of the late Chief Moshood Abiola, carrying forward the legacy of liberation, courage, and people-driven leadership*
It is noteworthy to say both Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and late Chief Moshood Abiola share a burning passion for liberation. One at the national level and the other at the state level. While Abiola’s dream was to liberate Nigeria from poverty, injustice, and misrule with his iconic "Hope '93" campaign, Gbadebo steps into the political scene with the same spirit, aiming to free Lagos from the grip of political godfatherism, institutionalized oppression, and systemic inequality. Their aspirations are deeply rooted in the desire to return power to the people and to create a fairer, more inclusive society.
Neither Gbadebo nor Abiola entered politics through government appointments or the patronage of the political elite. They emerged as self-made leaders who earned their followership through integrity, vision, and grassroots connection. Abiola rose from the private sector as a successful businessman and philanthropist, while Gbadebo has remained untainted by political favoritism, choosing instead to stand with the people and not the powers that be. This independent political trajectory sets them apart as truly people's candidates.
Just like Abiola denounced the elite-driven politics of his time, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour is taking a bold stance against godfatherism and the manipulation of the masses through vote-buying. He is vocal about ending the culture of using poverty as a political tool, where people are given money in exchange for their future. Gbadebo’s campaign is one of political reawakening educating the electorate on the power of their vote and standing against the forces that have held Lagos hostage for decades.
Gbadebo’s message of "Hope " is not accidental, it is a deliberate continuation of the dream that MKO Abiola died for. Abiola symbolized hope for a new Nigeria; Gbadebo symbolizes hope for a new Lagos. Both men are champions of equity, unity, and transformation. Gbadebo is determined to correct the long-standing narrative of marginalization in Lagos Politics, and like Abiola, he is ready to stake his all to uplift the ordinary people and restore dignity to governance.
Together, let us make Lagos Proud..

2026 Guber election in Osun : Basiru, Oyebamiji charged each other with allegations of betrayal, for reaching out to Aregbesola - Mogaji
OSUN 2026: SRJ, OYEBAMIJI ROMANCE AREGBESOLA
Following a recent visit to President Bola Tinubu by the Adeleke family, there are credible reports that two governorship aspirants of the All Progressive Congress (APC) are already romancing former Governor Rauf Aregbesola
Insiders in both camps revealed that the overture to the former governor was a follow up to the anger against President Tinubu for hosting Governor Ademola Adeleke at his Bourdillon residence.
Operatives of both camps had earlier descended on the president after the visit, accusing him of betrayals and threatening the number one citizen with severe political consequences.
Sources within the two camps disclosed that the visit has foreclosed the likelihood of illegal deployment of federal agencies to rig the 2026 elections for the state APC, leading to thinking of new alignments ahead of the elections.
According to a source within the Oyebamiji camp, the reach out to the Aregbesola group is a strategic move to counter the entrenched political force of the Adelekes.
“ Our leaders are reaching out to Aregbesola. You just need to remember that Aregbesola was the original godfather of our Principal. Ambo has no personal issue with Aregbesola. So rapprochement is a path being pursued”, the source said.
He was however silent on whether Oyebamiji obtained permission from Blue Marine Minister, Adegboyega Oyetola, to enter a new relationship with Aregbesola.
For the camp of Ajibola Bashiru, reports indicated that the APC National Secretary has been secretly sending emissaries to Ogbeni Aregbesola to forgive and forget his past misdeeds and support his bid for the governorship.
“We are in touch with Aregbesola. There is no doubt about that. Both Bashiru and Ogbeni are back in a political relationship. This is politics. No permanent enemy of friend”, a close ally of Bashiru declared.
Meanwhile, the two camps have accused each other of reaching out to Aregbesola, charging each other with allegations of betrayal.
While the Oyebamiji camp alleged that Bashiru has sealed a deal with Ogbeni, the Bashiru group levelled the same allegation against the Ambo group.
The reports of romance of the aspirants with Aregbesola is reported to have reached the Presidency, leading to reported deepening anger against major APC leaders in Osun.
The fresh reports came amidst recent open attacks against Mr. President by known APC leaders in Osun state. The issue of social media attacks against Mr. President is reportedly under investigation at the topmost level.
Seize the streets on June 12 for a National Protests Action - Mekunnu Koya and Federal Workers Forum call on Nigerians.
*BE PART OF THE JUNE 12 NATIONAL PROTESTS, FOR EVERY ONLOOKER IS A EITHER A COWARD OR A TRAITOR.*
Great Nigeria people,
MEKUNNU KOYA and the FEDERAL WORKERS FORUM salute your perseverance in the face of hunger, hardship and suffering in the midst of plenty. We call on you to join hands to end the unprecedented poverty caused by a thieving few in the corridors of power who flaunt their ill-gotten wealth with impunity. We call on you all not to empathise with us but to fully participate in the June 12 National Protests Action to reclaim and refocus the mismanaged civil rule in Nigeria towards a genuine democratic process.
We appeal to you to support and take part in the mass agitations against bad governance in Nigeria , we believe you are the unsung and genuine heroes of our nascent democracy. Clearly, our experience today is the direct opposite of why we fought military misrule to send the Khaki boys packing. From all intent and purpose, we do not lose our friends and dear ones, we do not lose our limbs, dare police brutality, face persecution and prosecution only for the poor getting poorer and poorer and the few rich getting richer and richer.
Our struggles that ended military dictatorship is to enjoy our freedom as freeborn and not as slaves. We ended military rule to have democratic choice in periodic elections and not for any Neo-Fascist to imposed a one party state on us, using enormous state resources to achieve his gluttonous appetite for wealth accumulation and Emperor morbid ambition.
Food prices have skyrocketed, people cannot afford basic needs, insecurity of lives and property is the new norm while the government shows gross ineptitude and lackadaisical attitude in their interventions during natural disasters. The Tinubu's renewed hope mantra has become a curse with renewed hardship.
If we fail to speak out now, if we fail to act now, if we fail to resist the Tinubu's government anti poor socioeconomic policies, if we fail to reject the script for one party rule now, if we fail to resist an Emperor that has weaponised poverty , it means we have submitted our freedom and liberty, we shall be worse than slaves in our fatherland.
We cannot and should not allow our harrowing experience to further degenerate. We have to take our destiny in our palms to reclaim our humanity. As we have nothing to lose but our chains.
We must mobilised for a protracted struggle in the coming days, weeks and months. We should organise ourselves in our neighborhood, streets, offices workplaces and our campuses to save our hard earned democracy from the leprous hands of Neo-Fascists in the corridors of power.
Dare to struggle, dare to win!

AFENIFERE USA CHAPTER a rebellious, divisive set of impostors in the payroll of Tinubu for 2nd term - David Adenekan
Diaspora Group Warns Against Afenifere Impostors, Backs New Leader
By ALJAZIRAH -June 5, 20250142
By Blessing Otobong-gabriel
The Afenifere Diaspora USA has issued a warning to the general public to beware of a group claiming to be the “Afenifere USA Chapter”, stating that the group is unknown to the pyramid structure of Afenifere and congratulated Oba Oladipo Olaitan on his emergence as the substantive national leader of Afenifere, reaffirming their support for his leadership.
In a statement signed by both the Chairman, Prof. Sikiru Fadairo and Secretary, Comrade David Adenekan called on the general public to shun a group called, “Afenifere USA Chapter” as such group is unknown to the pyramid structure of Afenifere under the umbrella and able leadership of Oba Oladipo Olaitan.
The Afenifere Diaspora USA emphasized the importance of authenticity and warned against impostors who may seek to undermine the organization’s integrity while urging the public to recognize only the legitimate leadership of Afenifere under Oba Oladipo’s able leadership.
The group reiterated that, a group cannot exist in isolation and vacuum of a leadership structure. “To set the record straight, it was true that a group known as Afenifere USA Chapter under the leadership of Dr. Durojaye Akindutire was created by the leadership of Pa Ayo Adebanjo of blessed memory; and with the direct supervision of Engr. Adebayo Adenekan, Afenifere Diaspora Secretary.
The group was dissolved by the purposeful leadership of Pa Ayo Adebanjo who has joined our ancestors because of the rebellious behaviors of the leadership of the group in question that was anti – Afenifere.” The group stated.
“Today, the so-called Afenifere USA Chapter is unknown to the leadership structure of a one umbrella Afenifere under the indefatigable leadership of Oba Olaitan Oladipo; a disclaimer indeed!
“Afenifere will not approbate and reprobate, the so-called leaders of Afenifere USA Chapter are detractors that have been dismissed from the organization. They are only being used by political jobbers to truncate the noble efforts of the leadership of Oba Oladipo Olaitan to ensure that the primary goals and objectives of establishing Afenifere (welfarism for all) are not defeated.” The group affirmed.
“What is the manifest goal of the so called Afenifere USA Chapter, apart from a divisive political agenda to support Tinubu re-election bid for 2027 and get compensated with plum jobs or pay checks? Are they not political patronage? If not, how do you start running a campaign for a man that told Nigeria during the electioneering campaign, ahead of 2023 general election that, “If I am elected as president, hold me accountable to my promise, if I do not provide a stable and constant electricity to every Nigerian in six months, do not re-elect me as your president.” Did the national grid not collapse to the extent that the federal government has abandoned the whole country to gross darkness to opt for alternative energy, install solar panels that will cost tax-payers billions of naira to only provide constant electricity to Aso Rock, the seat of power. In this scenario, are they not desperately reinforcing failure to ask the electorates to vote PBAT for second term?” The group queried.
However, Afenifere Diaspora USA needs to clarify the true identity of Afenifere to sensitize the public so that they do not get confused with the so-called activities of the detractors. Also, that any such group outside the pyramid structure of Afenifere under the astute and amiable leadership of Oba Oladipo Olaitan is a ruse, the group clarified.
“The group implore all sons and daughters of Yoruba land, including the citizens of other five geo-political zones in Nigeria, namely South-south, South-east, North central, North east and North west; and the world at large to please discountenance and stay away from the so-called individuals and groups like the disbanded Afenifere USA Chapter that are misrepresenting Afenifere.

Don't drag NBM of Africa into a case with Ese Kakor, his removal reported to CAC, January 15, 2024. Barr. Nkemnacho tells Edo state government
Open Letter to the CAC, the Inspector General of Police, the EFCC and members of NBM of Africa Worldwide.
I am forced to come out publicly to address some of the recent problems plaguing our beloved organisation, NBM of Africa which many of us have spent our lives building. The current dispute between Mr Ese Kakor and Edo State government, a former leader of the organisation has further dented the image of the NBM of Africa. Prior to this dispute NBM of Africa has struggled to redeem its battered image mainly from the handwork of Ese Kakor and his misguided and irresponsible associates.
The problem NBM of Africa faces today is exacerbated by bad governance plaguing our beloved nation, Nigeria. NBM of Africa has since February 2024 brought to the attention of the Federal Government via the CAC and security services, the EFCC and the Inspector General of Police our problems with Ese Kakor and his misguided associates.
I am particularly happy that it has taken Edo State government the boldness to challenge Ese Kakor. However in doing so it has rubbed on our beloved Organisation because of the indifference exhibited by bad federal government agencies in Nigeria.
NBM of Africa is a duly registered organisation with the CAC which is responsible for registering clubs and charities in Nigeria. One expects the CAC to also monitor the activities of the clubs and charities.
The trustees of NBM of Africa and legal owners of the organisation filed a report with the CAC on 15th January 2024 notifying the CAC of the removal of Ese Kakor as the National Leader of NBM of Africa for criminal activities, misappropriation, and threat to life. The report was clear on the removal of Ese Kakor from office. To date the CAC has not acted on the report by writing to Ese Kakor to stop parading himself as the President or National leader of the organisation. CAC silence has emboldened Ese Kakor and his worldwide misguided associates to continue to misrepresent himself as the President of NBM of Africa.
Equally, the Inspector General of Police is complicit in denying NBM of Africa justice. Following a report by some members of our great movement to the IGP against Ese Kakor for ‘threat to life, terrorism and financial misappropriation’ nothing concrete was done by the office of the IGP except writing invitation letters to Ese Kakor. On 26 March 2024, our lawyers Henry Akunebu SAN wrote on the Trystees behalf to the IGP confirming Ese Kakor’s removal by the Board of Trustees of NBM of Africa. On 10th September 2024, one CP Emmanuel Aina (pcs), commissioner of police (SEB) of the Special Inquiry Bureau, Criminal Investigation Dept (FCID) Abuja invited Ese Kakor in a letter reference 3000/X/FHQ/ABJ/SEB/T.12/VOL to report for interview at Abuja. Nothing came out of this invitation. I would like the IGP to investigate why report by the NBM of Africa against Ese Kakor did not see the light of day. What was the outcome of the report for which Ese Kakor was invited to report to Abuja.
Also the EFCC received a report about Ese Kakor’s financial misappropriation and like the CAC and IGP, it failed to investigate properly. The EFCC failed woefully as an agency involved with fighting financial crimes. Ese Kakor has continued to receive funds he should not have on behalf of NBM of Africa to date from gullible and misguided members and branches of the organisation while the authorities slumber.
While I congratulate Edo State Government for standing up to fight corruption and cultism, NBM of Africa should not be mentioned in its dispute with Ese Kakor. The Trustees of the organisation will reach out to Edo state government for compensation over the destruction of its headquarters in time.
It is on public record at the CAC that Ese Kakor was removed as President of NBM of Africa by the trustees of the organisation on 12 February 2024. It is also on record that security agencies were notified of his criminal activities but failed to act responsibly. The organisation is currently in court in Benin City struggling to see if Edo State judiciary can support NBM of Africa in wrestling it from the grip hold of Ese Kakor and his misguided associates. Since February 2024 Ese Kakor has grabbed and run away with the organisation aided by a corrupt Nigerian system.
As a member of the NBM of Africa and a proud one and former national leader of the organisation, I urge both parties to settle their dispute without involving our respectable organisation.
Ese Kakor has only existed and allowed to continue his criminal behaviour simply because the Nigeria system failed the organisation.
Newspaper houses and TV channels have also contributed in promoting Ese Kakor as president of the NBM of Africa. Arise TV did not carry out good investigative journalism to learn that Ese Kakor was not the President of our organisation when it aired him in 2025. When this was brought to the knowledge of Arise TV, particularly Rufai, Arise TV failed to correct their error or apologise for airing the wrong person as the organisation’s president. It is time for Arise TV to make right its error.
Our revered father the Oba of Benin was also fooled into building a relationship with Ese Kakor after he was removed from office. One can excuse our royal father, but his officials cannot be exonerated from Ese Kakor’s criminal behaviour. Some palace chiefs knowingly or unknowingly misled the Palace into accepting Ese Kakor parading himself as the leader of the organisation.
Celebrities were also misled into relating with Ese Kakor as our leader. The likes of Burna Boy and Davido whom I was instrumental in resolving their long public dispute also found themselves hoodwinked by awards that mean nothing. Genuine NBM members do not need awards. It is a life duty we are called to do, fighting against inequality, injustice and the freedom of Africans mentally and spiritually. Celebrities are advised to dissociate themselves from Ese Kakor and approach the legitimate trustees of NBM of Africa for advice. Stop feeding Ese Kakor’s criminal lifestyle because he stopped being the leader of NBM of Africa in January 2024.
It is unfortunate the situation NBM of Africa finds itself today. But it is my hope that justice can finally be fought for an organisation whose primary role was set up to free the minds of the black race from mental slavery and injustice. NBM is also about promoting African culture and social justice.
I want to thank the Edo State government for its seriousness in fighting the cancer that we as an organisation have been fighting. I implore the government to reach out to the Board of Trustees of the Organisation to begin discussion on explaining to them why our national secretariat was demolished without notice. Ese Kakor has no legal stand to bring a case without the authorisation of the Board of Trustees of NBM of Africa.
NBM of Africa has intellectuals worldwide and some are serving and retired government and political office holders that are contributing to the development of Nigeria and the world. Unfortunately like Nigeria, the lunatics have taken over the asylum. I am prayerful that the intervention of Edo State government in Suit No B/540S/2024 can help us regain our organisation from the likes of Ese Kakor and his associates.
Long live NBM
Long live Edo State
Long live Nigeria

OAU management turned intelligence & intellectualism upside down by inviting Wike as a distinguished personality to Great Ife- Kunle Wiseman
AS 'BULLDOZER' WIKE DARES THE INDOMITABLE GREAT IFE LEGACY
By Kunle Wizeman Ajayi
Even while down, there is some information that would razzle you up when heard. So, the management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has the audacity to turn intelligence and intellectualism upside down by inviting FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to the prestigious Great Ife campus to come speaking as a "Distinguished Personality?!"
Distinguished kini?!!
If the madness to be witnessed on OAU campus on Thursday June 5th is anything to go by, one should expect the same management to bring MCOluomo next as "Distinguished Personality."
When I shared the poster with a Leader of mine who has great respect for Great Ife, he simply responded by saying "OAU is finished!" His understatement is covered by the recent mass protests on Campus over how about four sets of students have been paying session by session for ID cards but the management never produced the cards.
I was also on that campus, and I can say that even a village setting is far better. From Angola Hall to Fajuyi, there were bushes competing with the roads and hostels. So unkempt, the campus is really a shadow of its old self.
But the management has always been like this really. I remember they tried hard in 2005 to bring Babangida to campus, but failed after students uproars. They ended up bringing the then Attorney general, Bayo Ojo the year after. Students Union Leaders roundly dealt with Ojo intellectually and he was disgraced off the campus.
The same management, even when they increased fees abitrarily, also brought former President Jonathan to campus in 2016, he was pelted out the campus with sachets of water!
Elements like Nyesom Wike believe they have turned Nigeria into a zoo,and they can go anywhere and do anyhow. He has "defeated" even the great Ijaws in Rivers and has been boasting around, of his defeating them. I am sure Wike is well abreast of the great legacies of Great Ife and how we don't take nonsense from elements of the Nigerian ruling class overtime. But Wike must have shunned that, and with the assurances of the management that the students Union is already pocketed, the Rivers and Abuja "Bulldozer" is all set to put our beloved Great Ife in the bag too?!!!
The lecture is allegedly on teaching Great Ife students, lecturers and the community on how to be a "loyal party leader" in the present political spaces. What sort of irritating and ironic lecture is Wike coming to deliver on OAU campus? How much have we degenerated to this??
By now, if the Dr. Bush-led Students Union is actually conscious and abreast of the Great Ife traditions, there should be a statement and position of the union on Wike's embarrassing lecture by now.
Great Ife students should care about Wike storming our campus to teach us the shenanigans of his brazen and open pocketing of the PDP for the benefit of a failed regime. Wike is busy demolishing and grabbing people's lands all over Abuja, whereas the FCT remains in a mess of growth and developments.
So, wetin Wike wan teach us at Great Ife. Will he bring his band of pipers and be talking down on everyone at Oduduwa Hall as he is wont to doing overtime? The same Wike paid his paper pipers and they were insulting the great Femi Falana all over the press. Falana was one of the best Publicity Secretaries of the Great Ife Students Union, and has distinguished himself as a great lawyer. Whereas, Wike never appeared on court for once as a lawyer, worse than a Charge-and-bail Barrister.
For my generation, by now, Wike would have rejected the coming to OAU campus. And if he is hell bent on coming; the Jonathan measure of the 2016 generation is a greater option. We the oppressed need to be facing our oppressors with our doses of the hard truths each time we have the opportunities. I urge the current Great Ife Students Union to define the standards of their own generations and ultimately keep the Great Ife legacies as indomitable and historic as ever.
For the failed Professor Bamire-led management asking Wike to come teaching us about party legacies, Fela Kuti's words remain evergreen; "Teacher, teacher...don't teach us nonsense!!!"

Nigerians had a harrowing experience living through pain and anguish inflicted by Tinubu government in the last 2 years. - Afenifere
President Tinubu woefully failed Nigerians - Afenifere Midterm Report
The Midterm Report shows that every human development and sociopolitical index has regressed since the coming to office of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, turning the promise of renewed hope to a nightmare of regressing hopelessness and despair.
Rather than take full responsibility for the unmitigated sufferings inflicted on Nigerians in the past two years on account of its wrong policy choices and wasteful spending, the Tinubu administration has engaged in massive propaganda claiming false successes and shifting blames to global and historical factors, and showing scant empathy for ordinary Nigerians.
Basically, due to unforced errors, especially the oversight of the production element of subsidies and floating the Naira, without any preparation to cushion the predictable impact, the Tinubu Economic Reforms has turned out to be Tinubu Economic Deforms.
1. Titanic crash in Domestic Production - Our GDP (Gross Domestic Production) crashes to $188.27 billion, according to IMF 2025 projections, from the $363.8 billion left behind by President Buhari, who brought it down from $574 billion that it was under President Jonathan, according to World Bank statistics. According to National Economic Summit Group, over 7 million businesses have closed down since 2023.
2. Astronomical rise in Public debt : In spite of the phenomenonal rise in public revenue from subsidy withdrawals and massive devaluation of the Naira, the Nigerian public debt has increased by over N100 trillion in just two years. Specifically, as reported by Debt Management Office, Public Debt shot up from N87.91 trillion left behind in 2023 by President Buhari administration, to N187.79 trillion projected for 2025. This is in stark contrast to the debt that was just N12 trillion before APC came to power in 2015. In dollar terms, our debt rose from $108.23 billion in 2023 to $142.47 billion in 2025, despite cutting subsidies.
3. Horrific increase in Poverty: According to the World Bank in May 2025, the poverty rate has increased from 38.9% in 2023 to now over 54% poverty rate, with over 75.5% of rural dwellers now living below the poverty line. Our GDP per capital also fell by 75% from $3,222.7 in 2014 to $1,637.47 under Buhari and now a mere $806 in 2025. According to the IMF, this is a stark indication of Nigeria experiencing shrinking prosperity and complicating poverty crisis. In absolute figures, the people living in poverty increased from 87 million to over 130 million people, with 13 million more people falling into poverty in 2025. About 33 million face starvation to death.
4. 4. Housing Crisis : About 30 million are without a roof over their head, while 108 million live in substandard housing according to Development Aid statistics. The Tinubu administration budgeted for the provision of a mere 20,000 houses in 2025, despite our population increase being over 6 million people (nearly 20,000 a day) in 2025. At 20,000 homes a year, it would take a thousand years for everyone to have a roof over their head.
5. A Prebendal and Government for the privileged and connected: Despite the Tinubu administration's economic policies causing huge inflation that cut real wages in over half, only 4.1% of the Nigeria population in the civil service had their wages increased by 38%. Reliance on unproven channels for the distribution of pitiable halfhearted food and other palliatives were corruptly split among those connected, while uncontested mega projects were brazenly given to those with well known connections to the President. It is obvious that the Tinubu administration has no intention of delivering the greatest good the greatest number of Nigerians.
6. Unabashedly profligate government: Two years into its tenure, and contrary to its well advertised electoral promise, the Tinubu administration is yet to implement Oronsaye Report to cut cost of governance, instead the costs have ballooned with new cost centers for cronies to milk. The tone of government at all levels is one of profligate 'jaiye jaiye' lifestyle, while the masses are being berated about Nigeria's wasteful past and the imperative of sacrifice to restore fiscal integrity. The government's first supplementary budget and subsequent budgets were spent on not only preserving but increasing the luxurious lifestyle of those in government - new Presidential jet, Cadillac limousines, N160 million cars for each federal legislator and scandalous increase in unaccounted constituency projects worth billions to each legislator.
7. Increase in insecurity : In the quest for absolute power, the Tinubu administration is trading off lives of Nigerians by refusing to devolve power for state police. Across Nigeria, there is a resurgence in the activities of bandits, kidnappers and insurgents. According to Amnesty International, in two years of Tinubu over 10,000 people have been killed and nearly a 1000 villages destroyed, while two new terrorist groups have evolved. The failure to treat this as an emergency to devolve power to enable states create state police places responsibility, if not culpability, for all lives lost since 2023 at the feet of the President. In addition to personal physical insecurity, there is food insecurity as rural dwellers run for dear life from foreign herders and now itinerant ''hunters''.
8. Destructuring democratic federalism - The Tinubu administration is actually Destructuring instead of Restructuring the military imposed constitution, towards true federalism. It has shown increasingly centralizing tendencies to further weaken the federalist elements in the constitution by attacking federating units with the takeover of their administrative units, known as local governments. Tinubu is destructuring the pillars of our democracy by neutralizing the legislature and judiciary put in place for balance of power and robust representative governance. It is obvious that the agenda is a one party state totalitarianism.
9. Dictatorial Tendencies and the Road to One Party State - In the last two years, we have witnessed a markedly increase in intolerance of protests by dissenting civic groups. Peaceful protesters, students and labour groups are hounded, destabilized and bullied. In recent times, we have seen a gale of opposition politicians decamp to the ruling party to prevent institutional victimization. Even government sponsorship of internal conflicts in opposition parties and sociopolitical groups are in open. Some recent appointments to Independent National Electoral Commission are speculated to be card-carrying members of the ruling party. The emasculation of liberal democratic values are flagrantly displayed, without any shame or restraint.
Summary : It has been a harrowing experience living through the pain and anguish of the last two years, inflicted on the nation by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This Midterm Report is a duty that AFENIFERE - the Welfarist Political Organisation established by Obafemi Awolowo and his associates in 1951 and now under the Leadership of Oba Oladipo Olaitan, its 6th Leader - must fulfil to prevent government propagandists from drowning the voices of millions of hungry and deprived Nigerians.
Rather than focusing on service delivery, the Tinubu administration is focusing on winning the 2027 election regardless of the voters. No amount of propaganda will erase hunger and poverty in the land. Only selfless and empathetic leadership can serve the people, not Prebendalist and hedonistic lifestyle. If this Midterm Report was an academic exercise, the student will receive an Advice to Withdraw from the examiner, but we believe there is still room for redemption. We urge the President and his Choir of Mandate seekersto reflect and for a change just love Nigeria and Nigerians.

Southwest problem problem is elite complacency not to help poor farmers - JM Egbe, Kogi West
WE DON'T HAVE A FULANI PROBLEM IN SOUTHWEST NIGERIA.WHAT WE HAVE IS A COMPLACENCY PROBLEM OF THE ELITE NOT STEPPING UP TO ASSIST THE PEOPLE IN RURAL SOUTHWEST NIGERIA AND DONATE THEIR FAIR SHARE OF RESOURCES TO THE FARMERS WHO ARE HUNTERS IN SOUTHWEST NIGERIA
It is so unfortunate that the SARS became a “ transactional enterprise “ of Criminal in Police Officers Uniform, milking the cow of this war against terrorism .I can look back at March 2022 - October 2022 and what they tried to do to me on my own property, simply because I had to protect my investment and my abode.
They were clearly out to extort me and put me out of Business. But I was determined to fight them in Court while I planned to sell of and buy a game farm in Southern Africa and leave for good .It cost me a lot in earned Kingdom as I stopped my work and shuttle, work and shuttle for 9 months. Numerous Court appearances etc. I will always be grateful to the SAHAN ( Safari Hunters Association of Nigeria ) , the Hunters of Southwest Nigeria , SCI ( Safari Club International) and my Hunting Compadres all over the World for their steadfast support, especially my friends in the “ high and low “ of the Republican Party. Pastor Idowu Ogedengbe, Professor Oyewo the Attorney General of Oyo State my GM , Prince Bowofade Aderemi,Kola Awodein SAN ‘Floreat’ and our Secretary General SUUNIFE 1975/1976 for their wise legal counsel and of course our Governor His Excellency Seyi Makinde without which we would have had an unfavorable outcome.
I tell my Hunting compadres all over Nigeria that we don’t have a Fulani problem in Southwest Nigeria. What we have is a complacency problem of the Elite not stepping up to assist the People in rural Southwest Nigeria and donate their fair share of resources to the Farmers who are Hunters in Southwest Nigeria . Couple that with the collusion of the Police and Military ( Ref to Rtd Lt T Y Danjuma’s speech “ The Military , they collude with Bandits and Terrorists……. Arm yourself because if you wait for them to save you, you will die, you will die 1 by 1….“).
These are words from a former COAS and retired Minister of Defence. As for the Fulani’s and the other Brigands, continue as they do their own brand of terrorism in Southwest Nigeria. they don’t know “ Yorubaland “…. I really feel sorry for them, continue. It will be Menachem Begin’s way for us in “ Yorubaland “. AN EYE FOR A TOOTH 🦷. Their eyes for our Tooth 🦷. They want to take on Yorubas?. They will give you the “ Ebiti treatment for Grass cutters “, and may their “ Ebiti’s always fall forward “ Amen
Thanks to all the other people too numerous to mention.

Okpebholo lacks powers to regulate petroleum products or seal fuel stations on metering issues. - Osaze Edigin
*BITTER TRUTH:*
Edo State government lacks the constitutional powers to regulate petroleum products or seal any fuel stations on metering issues. That's the job of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, formerly the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).
Any taskforce set up by the state government MUST work with the regulatory body for effectiveness.
While we are all shortchanged by the activities of these unscrupulous filling stations, government must be seen doing things in accordance with the law. Setting up a taskforce isn't the main issue, it's that the endpoint is compromise of intention and money making opportunity for the 'boys'.
I was part of a petroleum taskforce as a civil society component during Obaseki's administration, we worked with the constitutionally recognized body and other critical stakeholders for enforcement.
Can someone help check on Mr. Amen Osunde who held away during Oshiomhole's administration as taskforce chairman on petroleum and was allegedly built a filling station from the process. We all know how these things work. It's usually a case of initial gragra.
Items on the exclusive legislative list cannot be operated by state governments. Let's do things in civility for citizens to emulate. The state government should be duly guided against avoidable litigations. A taskforce must also be under the relevant ministry for proper accountability.
